While there are many non-medical home care agencies for a caregiver or client to choose from, we believe our attention to the hiring of only the most qualified and caring individuals sets us apart from all the other agencies.
Training
All caregivers must have successfully completed an extensive screening program for skill, character and experience before being assigned. Each employee must undergo extensive reference and background checks as well as fingerprinting, license verification (where applicable), health physical, written and hands-on competency testing.
In addition, all newly hired personnel must attend an initial orientation, which includes topics such as OSHA instruction, Infection Control Techniques, Back Safety and Emergency Intervention as well as complete continuous education requirements.
Supervision
Ongoing supervision of staff performance is an essential task to ensure the continued quality and caring nature of the staff employed to work with our clients. This is done through on-site visits to client's homes, weekly review of clinical documentation, individual employee-supervisor conferences as well as discussions with the Care Coordinators and other Agency personnel as the need arises.
MD, as the employer, is responsible for all tax obligations, benefits, professional liability insurance and all other insurances including bonding.
